Cin Twin, the prices were decent. I don’t remember how much the beer was, but a glass of the Bangin’ Red Pinot Noir (a very generous pour) was $8.

I’d say if you go with a group of six, everyone order something different and pass things around. Then everyone can taste!

A group of 6 of us are going to Lavomatic tomorrow night for dinner. I have made rabbit before but it will be a tough choice between that and the delicious meatloaf in your picture. By the way, how were the drink prices? I bought rabbit from Findley Market and cooked it in my crockpot with a mixture of stock, soy sauce, honey, and garlic. It was nice and tender.

Well looks like I’ll be buying some rabbit at findlay soon I couldn’t remember ever seeing it there…

I have a few good rabbit stew recipes, but thanks! Perhaps I can convince the symphony crew to hit up Lavo prior to the show this Saturday

I thought it was Busches– I wasn’t sure. I may have to stew myself a rabbit or two.

I think this place will challenge a lot of restaurants here– seasonal food, a great wine list, an interesting space– since I live two blocks away, I intend on going there quite often myself. Maybe I’ll see you there!

Killer review Julie, FYI Busches at Findlay has Rabbit, my better half was considering considering Rabbit Moutarde (Balthazar cookbook has a good recipe) Sunday but did Chicken Fricasee with lemon, saffron, and green olives she found on

instead, it was a keeper for sure.

I am very cranked up about the food at Lavo, it really looks like it may give the JR establishments some good competition, I am looking forward to lots of time spent at Lavo as I work close by. Great review!

Thanks, Chris! You can buy rabbit at one of the stands at Findlay– I think the one that has seafood, next to Miss Helen’s. They’re not terribly expensive! I have some rabbit stew recipes here somewhere, if you want one, email me.
