Cincycapelli-- I've heard this too, and am interested to see what comes of it.

Cincydining-- I love going to the Wine Cellar and to Teak, though I have a new-found soft spot for The Blind Lemon, too. And, of course, there's Daveed's.

I know exactly what you mean about Mt. Adams! We've been up there a handful of times, and enjoyed meals at Teak and Guido's, but we seldom even think to go up there when we're looking for a place to go. I'm going to have to remind myself to get there!

Casey, I haven't noticed the downturn in food quality or in service, but you're right, the interior does look a bit aged and crumbling.

Vudutu, we tend to go to Sake Bomb on weeknights, not on weekends, but we both don't mind the scene on the weekends.

Cin Twin-- I agree! Or we'll get sushi for an appetizer, then follow up with Thai. I really need to get to Green Papaya-- maybe this week.

(BTW, where was I supposed to be? You mentioned it and I don't remember...)

Sake Bomb, has,in my opinion, gone downhill fast this past year. Atrocious and indifferent service (even when empty), lackluster kitchen work, increasingly shoddy and nicked interior...we used to go there quite often with our two kids, who loved it. Things is, the price tag was not on the low end...given the bad service and mediocre food, Green Papaya has replaced Sake Bomb in that mid-range sushi category as far as we're concerned. Aoi is in another (nigher) tier altogether.

For the best sushi you have to go to NKY. I have not had it in a while but The fish house sushi was OK but not top notch, Saki Bomb I wont go into, overpriced and I hate the scene. The best sushi in Cincinnasti is actually in NKY.

Miyoshi and Matsuya then JoAn and AOI, the Chung Ki Wha Korean BBQ and Sushi Truck stop is fun, watch out for the wasabi fish eggs, they will take the the top of your head off, eat at the bar, it's a hoot.

The reason sushi is better in NKY is Toyota. As good as you will find in this country except perhaps the coasts. A sushi loving friend who went to Japan last year confirmed this.

Your pics made me excited because after HH tonight (will you be there around 6ish?) I am going to Bangkok Bistro in Hyde Park for a family dinner. What I love about places like BB, Mt.AFH, Green Papaya, and other sushi/Thai places is that I can get my sushi fix and the rest of the family can eat Thai. I can't seem to get anyone else as excited about sushi like I am.

I did think Mt Adams Fish House sushi was definitely high quality when I took my father there a few months back. Never been to Sake Bomb but will put in on my list. See you tonight!
