I’m a tech junkie. Latest gadget? Want it. Latest online tool? I’m an early adopter. So when I finally got my iPhone (you’ve seen a few pics I’ve taken with it recently), naturally, wine me, dine me had to be iPhone friendly. I installed the iPhone Wordpress plugin, so now if you navigate to winemedineme on your iPhone browser, it’ll be in an easy to read, easy to comment format in the palm of your hand. Very cool! It also works on other mobile browsers, like those that run on Windows CE or Blackberrys.
Speaking of the iPhone, I’m in love with Urbanspoon, OpenTable and AllRecipes for the iPhone. BigOven also has a great app, but I’m not using it quite as much as the latter two.
I also found two great content sharing sites based around food– Foodista and Cucina. Foodista is an open source wiki that allows you to upload, link and edit recipes (like Michelle’s egg nog recipe!). Cucina is a locally-based site that allows users to upload videos of food demonstrations. Very, very cool.
Another locally-based service that you should try out is ShareThis. You’ll see it on some sites (including the Enquirer, ABC.com, and a ton of others) and you’ve seen it on my site for several months now. It allows you to share easily over a bunch of different social networks– you can post something to your Facebook, send it as an email, and send it as an SMS all in one click of the mouse. There are lots of exciting changes coming soon with it making it an even better tool (it’s so good it won a Mashable award this year!). Full disclosure: I know their awesome CEO, but even if I didn’t, I’d still plug this product.
What tech do you use for your foodie adventures?

UrbanSpoon and OpenTable are the best foodie apps I use all the time on the iphone. Now you just need to jailbreak your iPhone so you can get Qik and do live streaming video from your phone, its too cool for words!
The UrbanSpoon app is super cool. Especially when I’m reading wine me, dine me reviews.
I’ll have to try UrbanSpoon, FYI, the camera is pretty bad especially in low light but there are a couple of apps that sense motion and help, try them out one is called SteadyCam. It uses the accelerometer to figure out when to grab the pix. I am not happy with my iPhone, love the device, hate the phone, AT&T sucks.
I have no problems with AT&T… which surprised me, since I’d heard complaints. Love the whole iPhone thing. Such a fangirl, am I…
i love the urbanspoon app when you shake the phone, it turns like a slot machine and comes up with restaurant suggestions. although it suggests ambar india an awful lot.
