A warm welcome to people who found me via the article in this week’s Soapbox Cincinnati article on shopping and eating locally. Dining and shopping locally is a passion of mine– I may not be a locavore (Sorry Val!) but I think small businesses are the backbone of America. Support them, particularly in our time of economic crisis!
Also, a big welcome to folks who found me via Foodbuzz. Some of my regular readers might wonder what exactly the Foodbuzz 24, 24, 24 is. Basically, each month, Foodbuzz’s featured publishers (I’m one of them) submits meals– 24 of them– and blog about it. This past month’s theme was Thanksgiving, and Foodbuzz has 24 really great Thanksgiving meal experiences that you ought to check out. It was a lot of fun! Full disclosure: Foodbuzz is my primary advertiser, and I chose them because the ads are food related. I don’t care about diapers or lawncare, and I figured my readers wouldn’t want to see it either.

Congrats, Julie!
BTW…do you offer an e-mail subsciption? I know someone who was interested in one…she doesn’t use RSS feeds.
Hey, Kevin! Thank you.
I do, and I think I used to have a link in my sidebar. I’ll readd the sidebar link in just a minute!
Hey, I think eating at local independents qualifies you as a locavore! I like them even better when I know they source locally, but even when that’s not where they are right now (and I hope most of them move in that direction eventually!) I sure still consider them part of the “local food” scene!
Oh, and BTW, congrats on the mention, and great photo!
Thanks, Val! And I’ve been meaning to congratulate you on your Cincinnati Magazine award, but I’ve been horrible about commenting lately.
