New website for Lavomatic

As reported on the Cincinnati Blog, Lavo has a new (pretty spiffy looking) website. I’ve been there since the shakeup, and still enjoy the time I’ve spent there. I really like the people who work there, and Chef David does a pretty good job putting his own twist on the local concept. I still, for the record, recommend it to people– not because I’m taking sides in that whole issue, but because I really like the people and the experiences I’ve had there.

So, head down to the anti-depression Happy Hour, grab a cheese plate or a grilled cheese, or a salad or the rabbit (while they have it) and enjoy one of my favorite restaurants in OTR.

Please join me in my call for a formal boycott of Martin Wade’s restaurants. Mr. Wade’s shabby treatment of Jean-Robert de Cavel, and his ruination of every restaurant that he lays his money grubbing hands on and he does not deserve our patronage.

The menu doesn’t appeal to me, although I’ve eaten there three times with success. I don’t know if it’s the mix, the descriptions, I don’t know. But it looks blah.

No, I have a source who is very close friend of JR’s and he tells me that JR is looking at a space for a new restaurant a few blocks north west of Jeanro Bistro. He has a new backer as well.

i have only been once; but everyone was super friendly – and they had a delicious selection of fun beers not usually found elsewhere in cinci.

kudos to small businesses in the otr.

I am boycotting all of Wade’s restaurants. I’ve heard too much reliable stuff about him to want to patron his restaurants. Besides, I can’t imagine someone coming to Cincinnati and asking “I want to dine at Wade restaurant!” How does this guy expect to win back a clientele? What goes around, comes around.

I heard a really funny joke at Pigall’s before it closed. One of the staff told me that a regular patron said of Wade, “His biggest claim to fame is that he got his dick caught in a cash register!” Ouch. But, that’s REALLY funny.

It is obvious yu have a personal vindeta against this business owner. Your comment hurt you not him, quit wasting your time and ours “Furtail” or “too scared to say your real name”—move on!

Wade is just a typical stupid scumbag. He’s really good at laying off people and closing restaurants. I really do wish him the worst as do thousands of others in this city.
