Summer is a pastry genius!

I wish I could have been there, but I my name was not on the security clearance list. Bummer! The food we(MCI) made with Jean Robert was incredible. The slaw was my favorite: julienned carrots, red & green bell peppers, snow pea pods, red onions, cabbage, small cannelli beans and dressed with mayo + dijon + sherry vinegar + seasonings. I think I'll remake in the near future at home.

Chef H pulled out all the stops in that incredible Bloody Mary concoction. I have had the privilege of Chef Helfenstine as my chef instructor for the two past terms and she is a genius. I miss you Chef H! That means I need to visit her at Nicholson's...

Coco, I love their mango slaw! I'm so glad you finally got to enjoy your gift certificate!

Kate-- you used a baseball analogy. You might be TBF's new favorite person.

Great blog post, "Boyfriend." You tell me a little bit more about the food than just the ingredients, and you offer a little bit of backstory. Great food blogging - just what I'd expect from the likes of WMDM's bf.

You're a great pinch hitter if the star has to be summoned to other games :)

OOOH - That's the ahi tuna that we had as an amuse bouche Tuesday night at The Oceanaire! And the mango slaw was served with the halibut cheeks appetizer. The mango slaw was one of my fave foods I think I've ever had (but I'm crazy for sesame oil!)

And which is also a lovely follow-up to say THANK YOU - my daughter & I finally used the GC that I won (in January? blush - so long ago...). It was a lovely evening, with enjoyable food and definitely a super night out for Mommy & Daughter!

Liz,

Chocolate...pork...just work in caramelized onions and sauteed garlic, and we have the four basic food groups.
