by julie on July 13, 2009

I’m in the lovely District of Columbia (well, technically, Maryland) all this week, so posting might be sporadic. Anything y’all want to talk about? Consider this an “open thread”– go to it!

I’m going to give a shameless plug….. Cincinnati Habitat YP’s is having a happy hour this Friday 6:00 at J Hall. $10 donation at the door includes draft drinks, mixers, food, and music!

I know this blog isn’t about promoting organizations or charities, but I couldn’t resist. I love Habitat and can’t quit spreading the word!

I wanna talk about Cool Summer: Our House to Yours!

The event kicks off Friday at Below Zero in Over-the-Rhine. From 7 to 10 pm, Cincinnati Women Bloggers will join forces with the city’s GLBTQ community to support Cincinnati’s Ronald McDonald House. Each guest is asked to make a $10 donation at the door, as well as participate in a variety of really spectacular raffles.

You can check out more information and RSVP at the event’s Facebook page.

Go to the Old Ebbit Grill in DC it’s something like the oldest restaurant there (1856), it’s right around the corner from the White House, and is the flagship of the Clyde’s Group….you will not be disappointed…

Hammer a few crabs for me. If you are around Dupont Circle don’t miss Afterwords at Kramerbooks–the bookstore cafe gone to heaven.
