Ok, there’s all of this talk of good gelato…in Ohio. Has anyone that enjoys these treats ever been to Italy? I know that gelato is simply very creamy rich ice cream made with high quality ingredient; however, when I think of gelato it makes me think of sitting in an outdoor cafe people watching. Hot Italian summers. Cool creamy reprieve in a small cup or cone. The taste of freshly roasted pistachios, rich creamy chocolate, sweet milky caramel. It’s not a secret. It’s a right and everyone has it. But, bacon? Really?

Julie, I think that I make the bacon that you speak of from a recipe that my grandmother taught me. Not sure if I would have ever thought of it in a dairy treat though. You make it sound so irresitable that I may just have to try it though.

Where exactly is this Aroma’s also. I think I need to compare!

Wow, Julie. I’ll have to check that flavor out. Candied bacon is out of this world!

Have you been to Aroma’s on the west side yet?? Honestly, the gelato is to die for. I’ve only had Dojo once, and it didn’t hold a candle to Aroma’s!

yay dojo! i tried the porkopolis on saturday too, only it was more like 1 pm by the time i was there. totally delicious! .-= liz´s last blog ..the ohio state fair in pictures + super exciting bonus! =-.
