A little bird (birdie #1, as I call him or her) tells me that Terry’s Turf Club is up for sale. My guess is Terry wants to get out on top– and concentrate on fly fishing (but that’s just a guess. For all I know he wants to concentrate on his neon sign collection.). Word is that a group of investors is being organized to snatch it up. Will the quality change? Will the Bevadores still be around? Anyone have any details? Is this all a big rumor?
Ooh, a second location is in the works: check out Laura Baverman’s article in the Enquirer.

You have a stake in this or what?
Nope. Just love the burgers.

he’s building a bigger place down the road
Terry has excellent timing, he has been talking about it for a while.
I hope he is simply relocating to a larger venue because he makes my favorite burgers. However, if Terry needs a place to store all that neon, his old bar, Neon’s is reopening as Neon’s Unplugged and would be more than happy to hold on to it for him. All kidding aside, I wish him the best in whatever he is doing, Terry is a true visionary.
Terry has been talking about selling for a long time, not new news at all. As to my previous timing comment I spoke before I thought it through. He was one of the first, if not the first, in the Main street district, as I recall he started talking about selling at the peak but did not get it sold until the area and bar started downhill.
Terry told me yesterday that the restaurant isn’t on the market, and that this 2nd restaurant is a new concept in addition to Terry’s. He did say though that he’d gladly consider the right offer if one was made. Then he could go fly fishing around the world again, like he did after he sold Neon’s
