World Food Bar to Open New Concept Downtown

by julie on September 14, 2009

Josh-105Okay, so some folks call OTR downtown, but Chef Josh Campbell (whose photo is at the left), owner of World Food Bar will be opening a lunch spot in the Central Business District. World Food Bar, which opened a few months ago in a Findlay Market location (near Kroeger’s), just secured  the space next to Hamburger Mary’s (formerly Tom’s Pot Pies, and most recently Flo’s Plate of Soul). Still waiting on more details, but I hope they can make that spot work. Still haven’t tried the food yet, but they seem to be doing a steady business whenever I’m at Findlay.

This is great news. It was sad to see the pot pies place go, but I would imagine this might be a more successful business model for that location.

Haven’t tried the food yet??? Go pick up a dinner for the night. It is quite reasonable.

Hopefully he can do well, although that space is tricky. Flo’s was there long enough to put up a fresh coat of paint, and watch it dry. Suffice to say Flo’s was not there long.

This is awesome. I’ve seen their booth at Findlay but never had the need to purchase from them. I happen to live right around the corner from this location and was wondering what was moving into the space. As CaseyC said above, Flo’s was in the space for just under a month and I was quite surprised to see it close so soon. Does anyone know the story, there?
