Great advice about not eating the whole portion.

I'm sending you out scouting next Octoberfest. I've gone 5-6 times and have yet to find food I enjoy at that event. Taste of Cincinnati is good.

Yeah, I hate to waste food too, but even with splitting things, we still had waste.

Good review, great suggestions, especially "Do a spin around the venue before you try anything." And go with a friend so you can split, doing this avoids the "Don’t be afraid to throw out food" issue. I hate to waste food. We used to go every year but can't justify the cost any longer.

Have a friend who shelled those delicious fava beans all night. He said it wasn't quite so glam in the back but had a great experience. Regarding shoes, gotta get the heels with padding!

Ha! I should rephrase, perhaps, to "cute, pointy, high heeled" shoes. My shoes were cute (but flat).

Then again, some people are practically Louboutin endurance athletes. To them, I say, "I salute you! And envy you, just a little tiny bit."
