Review: Enzo’s

Enzo'sEnzo’s is about a block and a half from my condo, and I, until recently, never went there. I’ve found myself at home in the mornings a few times recently and thought to try it.  It’s an open, modern looking coffee shop that caters to local business people and SCPA students across the street.  When I was there the other day, a few SCPA students were filming something in the seating area.  Other times I’ve seen folks coming in for coffee who were working on Washington Park.  It’s got something for everyone– soda, coffee, panini, breakfast burritos– and the prices are pretty good.

They do a really nice latte, which I’ve had a couple of times, and have fresh pastries available.  Their breakfast burritos ($4) are killer and my favorite thing.  They can do it vegetarian or vegan, and instead of rice, they use hash browns.  I like the Rossamundo, which includes eggs, hash browns, feta, walnuts, onions, tomatoes, and curry.  It’s the right size, a good price, and I never thought of curry for breakfast.  It makes breakfast just a touch more exotic (and I’m on a curry kick).  They do breakfast sandwiches (egg, cheese, meat optional) too.  There are tons of vegan and vegetarian options, for those interested.  The staff is friendly and occasionally do latte art (always charming) and service is quick.  I need to stop in for lunch, as the chicken salad sounds great.

If you’re in the neighborhood and want to check a great coffee shop, try Enzo’s. They’re open from 7 AM to 6 PM on weekdays only.
