Man vs. Food Enters Cincinnati

Adam Richman, star of Man vs. Food on the Travel Channel, is in town, and he’s already hit up a restaurant (are you surprised?). First stop? Senate, where he dined on My Wife’s Salad, scallops, bacon frites, beignets and creme brulee (according to Dan Wright, owner of Senate, he said that it was “the best one he’d ever had”).  Wright said, “He was as nice as could be and shook every staff member’s hand on the way out.” He’s pictured above with Lana Wright, who heads up the front of house.

Richman told John Kiesewetter last year that he wants to try Skyline and wants to shoot an episode here– does he do his own pre-filming recon?  Izzy’s recently had a contest designed to create a submission tape for Man vs. Food with their gigantic Reuben, and Hollywood Casino does a gigantic burger that they’d also like to have on Man vs. Food.  I’d be interested to know where he’s heading (And Adam, I have a few suggestions!).

8:53 AM:  God bless Twitter.  Adam Richman tweeted to me: “I just had the scallops & salad. My crew had frites & it was the beignets that I praised. #realfacts”

So he likes the beignets.

11:30 AM: Confirmed:  the MvF crew is shooting at Findlay Market’s market house.

1:25:  They’re filming b-roll, including footage of Luken’s and a pig.

3:48:  He ate at Pho Lang Thang.  Here’s a pic (courtesy Pho Lang Thang):
