Junior League’s Best Bite of the Night was Fusian’s assortment of sushi. The guys at Fusian served up plates of their sushi to hungry gala-goers and the broad appeal also got them “best bite of the night”.  My best bite?  Definitely Jimmy Gibson’s “Octopussy” dish– octopus (of course), with pork, vodka-soaked olives and caviar.  Totally fit the Bond theme (and I *love* fun themes– what’s the fun of an event if you don’t embrace something as awesome as James Bond?) and was delicious to boot.

Burnell’s, in Mayberry’s old space, is open beginning today.  You can see their menu at

GCI’s Restaurant Week starts today and runs through the 21st (so it’s more like Restaurant Week-and-a-Half).  You can check out the full list of prix fixe menus at GCI’s website  Each menu is $26.12 (Local 127’s and La Poste’s look really good…).
