This just hit my inbox, and I’m both a little sad and very excited about this news. Summer Genetti, most recently of Honey in Northside, recently accepted the position of pastry chef for Lola and Lolita in Cleveland, starting in September. Lola is the flagship restaurant of Michael Symon, who’s won a James Beard award and is featured on the Food Network. Lola is arguably the best-known chef-owned restaurant in Ohio.
I’ve been meaning to head up to Cleveland to go to Lola (okay, and the Rock and Roll Hall, and an Indians game) but now I just have one more reason to head up. Good luck, Summer.
