Honey Closed

Honey announced to its staff (and to Twitter) that they have closed effective immediately.

If you’re looking for a restaurant space, however, it is for sale, and based on the listing, it sounds like they’re selling the name and concept along with the building and equipment. It’s $35,000 less than it was the last time the restaurant was up for sale in 2010.

From a statement released by Summer Genetti, former pastry chef for Honey, on behalf of Doug and Shoshannah Hafner, owners of Honey: “We are so grateful to our friends, families, vendors and amazing staff(past and present) for all of their support and hard work through the years. It has been a great and successful run and we are proud of all we have been able to accomplish.”

I’m not surprised. The few times I went there the service was slow, the food was average, and the space was so loud that you could barely hear the people at your own table.

We really liked that place. Great food, attentive service, and unpretentious atmosphere. This was our favorite Northside restaurant.
