Long-time readers know of my love for Dixie Chili. It’s The Better Half’s and my favorite place for Valentine’s Day dinner.
Author Dann Woellert recently published The Authentic History of Cincinnati Chili, a book detailing the rich history and legendary proprietors of Cincinnati chili. Among the chili parlors detailed is Dixie Chili, founded by Nicholas Sarakatsannis in 1929. The author will be at Dixie Chili’s Newport location (733 Monmouth Street, Newport, KY 41071) on Wednesday, July 17th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm for a book signing and to give some insight into Dixie Chili’s part in Cincinnati chili history. Guests may arrive at 5:30 pm. Woellert will give two talks, one at 6:00 pm and another at 7:00 pm. Dixie Chili will also have some historic photos and memorabilia on display.
Can’t stop by the signing? Win a case of Dixie chili (I have no idea how long that’ll last you..) and a $20 gift certificate generously provided by Dixie Chili.
The raffle ends on Thursday, so enter quick!
